- What is Jon Peterson Scholarship?
The Ohio Department of Education offers The Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program (JPSN) to children who are eligible to attend kindergarten through 12th grade and have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship allows parents the choice to send their child to private school while getting the special education services that the child needs.
- How can JPSN benefit my family?
JPSN will benefit your family by allowing children on an IEP to receive services listed on the IEP at their private school or at home giving parents the choice of where to educate their child.
- Is my child eligible?
Your child is eligible if they attend a private school or are homeschooled and have a current Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- How much money is allocated for each child?

- What is the cost to parents?
The JPSN provides funding towards your child’s services listed on the IEP and there is no cost to the parent.
- How do I apply?
There are 2 application windows:
February 1-April 15 and October 1 –November 15
